  • Legend has it that in days of old Count Giangirolamo Il Acquaviva D’Aragona was involved in a dispute about taxes on his buildings. He Instructed his tenant farmers to construct “casedde” (temporary buildings) using only dry limestone. The buildings were dismantled before the arrival of the King’s inspector, hence he saw no houses and the infamous tax did not have to be paid. From this stroke of genius and thanks to the brave farmers the “castedde” became what are known throughout the world today as trulli…
  • Maceration is in oak vats, with maturation in French oak barrels for 22/24 months and further aging in bottles for 6 months.
