The Borettane is a mild, sweet Italian pearl onion that's flat, almost saucer-like in shape. Harvested, Washed, peeled and quickly blanched, before being stored in Balsamic vinegar IGP to imbue it's sweetly acidic flavour into the onion until it takes on a softer texture.
